In an effort to reach a broader customer base, I’ve decided to release a new collection just in time for the holidays: The Giftables Collection! These are smaller items, easily shipped, that can still give your space a lift in a more subtle way than a dining table or desk. So whether you’re looking for a gift for that special someone, be it a stocking-stuffer, a late year birthday or wedding gift, or perhaps that special someone is you and you feel the need to “treat yo self,” I’ve got what you need.

First, we’ll start with “Pappy’s Bottle Opener” named after my wife’s grandfather, the famous Mike “Pappy” Ehrler. Since I gifted an opener to him a few Christmas’s ago, he always mentions how much he loves it every time I see him. For a man that has around 30 grandchildren all told (I’ve lost count), I think that’s pretty neat. These are constructed of laminated walnut and maple (other wood species available upon request) and seem to fit the hand perfectly. Ideal for those that prefer to drink out of “fancy bottles” and not the twist-off variety. Oil rubbed to make any scratches or dings easily repairable. A perfect stocking-stuffer.

Next comes the “Boxcar Riser.” Apparently these have been a thing for a while. Made from authentic American Boxcar flooring, these little guys fit well in the kitchen, bathroom or living room. Whether by themselves as an accent piece or used to hold kitchen essentials or bathroom necessities, there isn’t a bad place to add these Oak adornments to your home or office. Also available in other sizes, shapes and species of wood, just send a quick message for a custom quote.

Then there is the never-before-seen Boxcar Snifter Flight Board. This idea came from my father after he traveled down the educational rabbit-hole of the history, production and nuances of “brown drink.” He got the first board I made but a few distillery tours later, I realized that some might enjoy sipping and comparing various scotches, whiskeys and bourbons at home like we do. Not only that but I noticed some distilleries, bars and restaurants could use an upgrade in the serveware department as well. In any case, these flight boards are fashioned from Boxcar flooring as well. The holes allow for the perfect fit of the official Glencairn whisky glass for proper swirling, nosing and tasting. They come in 3 and 4-hole designs. So, if you’re a distillery owner, in hospitality procurement or simply someone that enjoys drinking, these are for you.

And who doesn’t need a Quarantine Special? The Live Edge Lap Desk. Stuck at home? Tired of sitting at your kitchen table? Order a new dining room table or a custom desk… or utilize a lap desk to work and relax on your couch. 24″ x 13.5″ x 9″ spalted Maple atop two-rod hairpin legs fits any size laptop and your favorite caffeinated beverage… or alcoholic beverage if you’re just “over it” at noon on a Tuesday.

And finally, we have the Boxcar Charcuterie Board. We’ve had two of these around our house for a year or so and everyone that sees them tends to love them. Made from the same Boxcar Oak, but the scratches, holes and scrapes are preserved with a clear epoxy resin to maintain a smooth, level surface. Nobody wants to dig blue cheese and crusty bread out of holes in their charcuterie board. The 2 sizes pictured are rectangular at 40″ x 8″ and a circular one that’s 16 3/4″ in diameter. Custom sizes, shapes and wood species available upon request. Just send a message for a custom quote!

Be sure to stop by the store and check out all these new items and more. The holidays will be here before you know it!
